A Freckle In Time

You know you’re losing time, which means you’re losing money. But knowing that you’re losing money doesn’t seem to help at all, because you hate the act of time tracking so much, you just estimate at the end of the day (or worse). You’ve tried several different solutions, each time hoping you’d found one you could live with, but in the end they all seem the same.

We had the same problems. That’s why we made freckle.

I haven’t worked with it, but Freckle looks like a pretty slick and nearly effortless time-tracking tool.  Great for self-employed types who needs to track billable (and unbillable) hours or anyone who needs to get a handle on where the time goes.  Starts at $12/month for a solo plan.

I currently use Billings, a time-tracking program with more horesepower (and mental overhead) for managing my freelance work—features like invoicing and project management come in handy.  At $40 it’s already paid for itself in saved time and a more professional client relationship.
