I’ve long believed that this is a thing that needs to happen way more often with singers. In fact, I’d pay to watch an entire feature film, spanning all kinds of musicians and all kinds of karaoke bars, premised on this very idea. (Would Ke$ha impress no one? Would Bonnie Tyler reduce people to tears? Justin Timberlake? Dr. Dre?!) It’d be Joshua Bell on steroids. Relatedly: if anyone is friends with Will Smith, let me know.
