Mieka Pauley, a solo artist, and the Sybarite Chamber Players, a string quintet, will be performing together this Friday in a large, private loft in DUMBO, Brooklyn. This unique, one-time show pairs Mieka and Sybarite, two rising stars in separate music worlds, in an intimate setting. Each will perform a short set of their own followed by a few songs together. The event will be recorded in audio and video form for distribution online.
Mieka Pauley recently won the grand prize in the New york Songwriters Circle 2008 songwriting contest and placed in the top 3 in Cosmo magazine’s starlaunch competition; she will be opening for Natasha Bedingfield and Solange Knowles at Terminal 5 on December 5th.
