Discovered this thumper while digging around the 2005 Sweatsuit re-release. Interesting that the beat is an 8-bar pattern that changes halfway through. I love how the kick hits on the 4 in the 5th bar—nice touch. Also, the open hats (and maybe the closed hats, too) have a flanger applied to keep them tucked into the mix, which I’m noticing in more and more songs.
