iPhone apps: a snapshot
Most used:
- Tweetie (mobile Twitter)
- Droppler (mobile drop.io)
- Encamp (mobile Basecamp)
- Instapaper Pro
- Shazam
- Google Maps (with GPS = whoa)
- Subway Shuffle (puzzle game)
- KICK Lite (Unique NYC subway map)
- BPM (calculates bpm of your tapping)
Neat:
- Bump
- Handy but rarely used
- Flashlight
- Surprisingly useful
Interesting:
- Tumblr
- Beautiful, intuitive UI, though I don’t actually check Tumblr much while mobile
- CameraBag
- Neat, but I don’t use it often, and only “Helga” when I do
- MyPhone+
- Linking my contacts to their Facebook profile pics is interesting, but the app itself takes a second to load and doesn’t have a “Recent calls” tab, which turns out to be a critical loss.
Anything else I should try?
